The interests of purebreed poultry in Australia require that a set of poultry standards be freely accessible for reading, sharing and discussing openly. Open Poultry Standards Australia is built on a compilation of standards that are out of copyright, such as the UK Standards, the American Standards, and some from old texts such as Compton's Australasian Poultry. A selection is being made of the most relevant parts for the Australian breeder. These are not the official standards but hopefully will result in a shareable free access set of guides for Australians. We need suggestions, information, images and expertise to add to this project. As better information and images become available we will add them. Please email admin@openpoultrystandards.com with any queries or suggestions. Any assistance is very welcome. This is a project by the community for the community.
